Environmental Team Manager

Summary

The position will involve development and management of the London team’s project work in areas such as:

· Environmental impact assessment and planning
· Strategic environmental assessment
· Sustainability appraisals and sustainable designs
· Environmental management of construction
· Environmental and sustainability policy advice

A key role will be liaison with the existing company businesses in the Sea Containers House office to develop business opportunities in a range of public and private sectors, in the UK and internationally.

Job description:

Our clients London office in London is the base for a thriving management services, property and buildings business, operating in the UK and overseas. A small environment team has recently been established to service the office, working within the framework of the company broad-based environmental business. A senior environmental consultant is now sought to manage and develop the team.

The successful candidate will be both a doer and a leader, and will take responsibility, within the framework of our overall UK environmental business, for business development, project and programme management, staff development and technical leadership.

Candidate specification:

The successful candidate will have:

· Relevant academic qualifications to a high standard at graduate or postgraduate level
· Significant experience: experience in the UK would be a major advantage
· Experience of environmental issues in one or more of the following sectors: major property schemes; urban developments and regeneration; major infrastructure projects
· A demonstrable track record in environmental business development
· Excellent interpersonal, team and project management skills
· A sound understanding of UK and EU environmental legislation, regulation and administration
· High standards of written and oral communication and IT skills
· Driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally as requiredWe offer you
