As a project manager he or she will be required to undertake EIA projects both here in the UK and as necessary overseas. Clients will include local authorities, public sector companies and international institutions and funding agencies. EIA’s will cover a variety of areas including those relating to linear development. A further source of work will be that generated by other divisions within the company requiring an EIA input and environmental appraisals.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Project management of environmental projects including their financial, programme and team management
Client liaison
Preparation of scoping studies
Commissioning and managing inputs from internal and external sources
Internal quality assurance of projects using company QES system
Preparation and review of technical inputs to and from other specialisms
Report and bid preparation
Assistance with business development and the identification of opportunities

Our client is looking for an experienced Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) project manager to join their London based EIA and Audit Team. This is a growth area within the Environmental business stream and requires a person with technical competence, management ability and overall commitment.
Candidate specification:
The successful candidate must have an established track record in the delivery and project management of EIA’s and the production of Environmental Statements for UK located projects involving a range of public and private sector clients. Experience of one or more of the following would be an asset: environmental due diligence auditing, environmental planning, sustainability appraisals and EMS. A knowledge of a specialist technical area such as air quality, land contamination, BREEM or CEEQUAL would also be an advantage.
Candidates should also have an appropriate academic qualification and be a Chartered Environmentalist or working towards that status. Good interpersonal skills together with enthusiasm and a positive ‘can do’ attitude are essential for this role. Candidates will also be required to show that they have a clear report writing style.
