Design Team Leaders - Drainage Design

Summary

Our client is seeking Design Team leaders to join their offices in Munster.

The Design Team Leaders will lead design teams and have a hands-on role in the planning and detail design of drainage networks from concept to completion of construction.

Job description:

Typical projects include preparation of preliminary reports/feasibility studies, detailed design of drainage networks and contract administration.

Tasks assigned to these positions include:

- Preparing survey briefs and contract documents for site investigations
- Preparing concept designs with cost estimates
- Carry out the detailed hydraulic design for gravity sewers, rising mains, pumping stations, combined sewer overflows and other associated elements of a drainage system.
- Preparing design specifications and contract documents
- Carrying out the role of Engineer’s Representative and Employer’s Representative on construction contracts
- Attending meetings
- Report writing.

The duties also include:

Carrying out all tasks in accordance with the Company’s quality assurance system; participating in marketing tasks including preparing submissions and making presentations to client companies; and participating in the Company’s training programme as a participant and also in providing training to others under his/her charge.

Candidate specification:

Candidates should have a degree in Engineering with a minimum five years post graduate experience in the design of drainage networks. Knowledge of design software such as InfoWorks, MicroDrainage, HydroWorks or similar is desirable.
