Summary

The Renewables/Low Carbon team in the Generation Renewable and Environment (GRE) Sub-division (Generation Business Division (GBD)- Energy Unit) presently has 11 staff and requires a new Grade D/E to play a prominent role in the growth of the renewable business. The new staff will have project management responsibilities as well as assist in business development. S/he will support junior members of the team and provide technical strength in biomass/waste powered energy technologies.

As the Renewables/Low Carbon team grows, the expectation is that the staff will lead a biomass/waste technologies sub-team.

Job description

Role:
• To take a prominent role in the development of the Renewables/Low Carbon’s Team technical advisory work in biomass/waste powered energy technologies.
• To manage biomass/waste and other renewables/low carbon projects
• To participate in renewable technical advisory projects/assignments
• To promote technical and professional excellence
• To support team leader and team members

Responsibilities:

• To assist in business development

• To follow biomass/waste technology and market developments

Reporting:

• To team leader

Candidate specification
Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience:

• Engineering degree
• Experience in project development/analysis of biomass/waste powered energy technologies
• Project management experience
