To assist the safety commissioning team in the production of the safety commissioning documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Activities will include the cross referencing of documents including verifying existing test documentation against safety case requirements, inputting of data, production of reports including providing support to the generation of commissioning reports for the safety case and regulatory hold point programme etc
Essential Qualifications:
Ideal Profile:- Chartered Engineer
Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:- Educated to foundation degree (or equivalent) in an engineering subject.
Experience Required:
Minimum Knowledge:- Broad knowledge of a Pressurised Water Reactor, including an appreciation of interfacing and safety systems (eg. Emergency cooling and Containment). A sound engineering background Experience of commissioning complex plant, including documentation, including organisational roles and responsibilities.
Minimum Competencies:- Ability to appreciate a regulatory perspective. Remains focused with a particular eye to detail in analysis and reporting. Ability to liaise and communicate technical arguments. Competent with most Microsoft Office applications. Ideal Knowledge:- Sound knowledge of nuclear submarine engineering particularly the Naval Reactor Plant not restricted to the NSRP (e.g. Retired Category A2 Watch Keeper Vanguard Class). Multi-disciplinary engineering an advantage, but expertise in Reactor Control and Instrumentation especially sought. Knowledge of the working methods, processes, documentation and structure of the commissioning organisation, particularly the Dockside Test Organisation.
