Safety Case Engineer

Summary

Safety Case Engineer required to join safety team - range of experience sought, with significant experience or less experience willing to develop. Require minimum of SC level security clearance and willing to obtain DV. Responsibilities include: - production and verification of safety cases, - production and verification of safety submissions, - providing input into site/project strategies, - Liaising with project managers and site managers. Travel and subsistence and scarcity allowance also available.

 Key Responsibilities

An understanding of nuclear safety principles and their role and application within the nuclear industry. - Point of technical contact for major clients. - The ability to prepare and review safety cases. - Undertake verification of safety documents. - Assistance in the technical aspects of the production of quotations, bids and tenders from pre-qualification through to formal tender. - For more senior candidates, assist in the technical development of the team.

Essential Qualifications

Numerate degree or equivalent

Experience Required

Thorough understanding of safety principles and their role and application within industry, a proven record in customer relations and marketing and capable of deriving and implementing innovative solutions for process improvement. Knowledge and experience of the UK nuclear market. Experience in one or more of the following areas: probabilistic and deterministic risk assessment, radiological safety, safety cases.
