Mechanical Engineer

Summary

Mechanical Engineer to work as part of the Mechanical team in the design and specification of modifications and replacement/new plant and equipment. *Must have ability to obtain DV clearance*

Key Responsibilities:

Production of Mechanical design documents and drawings. Production of equipment specifications and data sheets, general arrangement drawings, mechanical sequence diagrams. Carry out site surveys, produce site survey reports. Produce Technical reports. Communicate effectively within the multidiscipline design team in addition to Client and Supply Chain representatives. Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes and standards. Ensure the design meets the operational/ design requirements, and any Safety Functional requirements. Check, verify and approve engineering drawings and documents in line with the technical plan.

Essential Qualifications:

HNC/HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Production Engineering .

Desirable Qualifications:

Possibly associate or full membership of an appropriate institute.

Experience Required:

Working knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment. Knowledge of process containment systems. Preparation of detailed equipment specifications. Experience of mechanical handling systems and equipment . Production of design documents and drawings. Good communicator. Ability to perform general plant performance calculations.
