Laboratory Analyst

Summary

Perform analytical testing procedures in a fast-moving laboratory environment, displaying a sound understanding of good laboratory practice, results quality and safe working procedures. Training on specific techniques will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

To work unsupervised after full training. To be able to work to client deadlines. Work as part of a large team of analysts. Maintain computer based records. Perform procedures (after training) to UKAS standard.

Essential Qualifications

Laboratory experience

Desirable Qualifications

A chemistry qualification or equivalent experience working in a chemistry laboratory would be desirable. Previous experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Experience Required

Practical experience of the laboratory environment. Previous experience of working in a fast-moving analytical environment would be an advantage. Good communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.
