Summary

To be responsible for mechanical design aspects of small and large projects in nuclear fuel route systems. Working either individually or as part of a team, to deliver high quality work to time, quality, budget and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Successful execution of high quality engineering work to time, quality, budget and customer satisfaction
2. Provides accurate estimates of own work for proposals/tenders
3. Plans and manages engineering design and assessment work within associated project budgets
4. Anticipates technical risks associated with work and discusses how to manage these with Responsible Engineer or Team Leader
5. Maximises the profitability of all work by ensuring that it is carried out efficiently and effectively
6. Maintains and develops successful working relationships with engineers at own level in client organisations
7. Continually develops technical knowledge and competence in field of expertise, and seeks to develop skill portfolio

Essential Qualifications:

Degree qualified, or equivalent

Experience Required:

Knowledge and experience of the mechanical handling systems / mechanical services.
• Proven track record of delivering results within a mechanical engineering function.
• Knowledge of nuclear industry regulatory requirements. Desirable experience
• Experience of nuclear fuel route operations and safety cases.
