Summary

To ensure all project construction objectives are met safely and in line with the Project Execution Plan and Integrated Management System

Key Responsibilities:

You will be accountable to the Project Manager. The individual will be required to undertake the following roles:-

• To ensure all construction delivery objectives are met in line with the Project Execution Plan and Integrated Management System.
• Responsible for ensuring the SHE implementation plan is implemented in line with corporate objectives, with particular emphasis on behavioural safety initiatives.
• Lead constructability reviews and liaise with customer representatives on all construction matters. Develop build sequence and input into construction plan.
• Develop the construction implementation plan.
• Effective management and co – ordination of key sub – contractors.
• Manage all construction activities on site with respect to client and company standards.
• Ability to control costs and work to budget constrains
• Understanding of contracts and contracting processes.

Essential Qualifications:

HNC minimum / Degree preferred OR 10 years in Petrochemical industry

Desirable Qualifications:

Suitable experience on major engineering projects, multi - discipline experience preferred over a 10 year period.

Experience Required:

The successful candidate should posses the following:

• HNC minimum / Degree preferred OR 10 years in Petrochemical industry
• Suitable experience on major engineering projects, multi - discipline experience preferred over a 10 year period.
• Good written / reporting and verbal communication skills. PC Literacy in basic software packages e.g Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership and motivational skills, experienced in dealing with trade unions.
• Communication – convey essential information across different multi level functions
• Knowledge and planning of multi-discipline activities tasks
• Working appreciation of engineering standards.
• Application of quality and information systems.
• Ability to self manage.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
